When to fish it: Summer, whenever dragon flies are present
Where to fish it: Rivers, look for long slow pools with vegetation as well as large eddies
How to fish it: Fish this fly at a dead drift, if refused, try a slight wiggle of the rod tip to barely move the fly. Fished at a dead-drift over deep water ledges from June to October, this bug has been known to bring fish to a dry fly from depths exceeding 15 feet. Larger bass like to “sip” the 3D Dragon, while smaller fish try to annihilate it!
