Weatherby’s Lodge and Resort rises above the village of Grand Lake Stream in the center of the Downeast Lakes of eastern Maine.  It has been a destination for sportsmen for more than 140 years and has been the centerpiece for angling writers for decades.  With 15 cabins, complete with electricity, hot showers, private baths, screen porches and fireplaces – you will be comfortable no matter what the weather brings.  Hearty home-cooked meals with fresh fruits, vegetables, breads and desserts will grace your table in the main lodge each day.  Weatherby’s Registered Maine Guides, complete with locally crafted Grand Lake Canoes will take you for the day into the world renowned Grand Lake Stream to fish for landlocked salmon or out onto one of dozens of pristine and undeveloped lakes to experience our world-class smallmouth fishing.  Fly-casting instruction is available and both fly and spinning rods, and waders are available for your use at no cost.  An Orvis pro shop is on premise for your convenience.

Fishing remains open until October 20 and upland hunting begins October 1 for wild ruffed grouse and woodcock.
