Welcome to the Absaraka Fishing Bear Cabins. The Big Horn River flows out of Yellowtail Dam at the base of the Big Horn mountains, flowing at an average temperature, the cool clear water creates a perfect habitat for trout. The abundant insect life and underwater structure grows some of the biggest rainbow and brown trout in the lower 48 states. If you’re looking for great fishing and a great place to stay, you’ve come to the right place. In the spring of 2002 we opened the Absaraka (meaning "home of the Crow") Cabins where people could enjoy a clean and quiet surrounding (near 3-mile fishing access) and have a choice of preparing their own meals or dining in town (just a few minutes away). We have four quality cabins and the Carriage House. All are equipped with full kitchens and sleep up to four. The Cabins are open all year round to accommodate late season fishing and hunting.

Come to the Absaraka and Zoe and Dave will give you a great Montana welcome and will help you with any of your needs from guides to rental boats, hatches going on, or just "fish talk".

Welcome and come join us at the Big Horn Country Lodge. Located just minutes away from the Three Mile Access of the fabled Big Horn River. The river is open year round and is world renowned for its prolific hatches and large rainbow and magical brown trout.

Start your day off with a full hot breakfast in our Dining Room. The Lodge has a fine lounge in which to relax after a hard days fishing.
