I’m Bruce Marino, owner of B-Mar Flies and appreciate you taking the time to check me out and learn more about my flies and guiding services. I have over 40 years fly fishing and tying experience and have traveled to many destinations to fish for fresh and saltwater species.
My Flies - In my travels, some of my flies have become widely used and are often “go-to” patterns for the guides in the areas that they guide in.
♦ In Cooper’s Minipi Camps in Labrador they use my BMAR Norway Rat, Hex and Stonefly patterns.
♦ Guides at Crocodile Bay Lodge in Costa Rica use several of my BMAR Wounded Baitfish patterns for both offshore and inshore species.
GUIDING on the “crown jewel “of Connecticut, the Farmington River and shore guiding the coastline of Connecticut are my passions now. For those of you that have asked, my second DVD, Fly Fishing the Farmington River, is soon to being released.

FLY TYING CLASSES – I keep my tying classes small so I can offer a lot of one-on-one attention. I break my classes into two groups: Beginners & Advanced.
In the beginners class I will take up to 3 people at a time and in the advanced class, I will only take 2. All materials and tools are supplied for both skill levels. If you’re interested in taking or scheduling a class, make sure you visit my website for more information.
