Norm Domagala - Tier | Presenter

Norm Domagala

Norm Domagala is a very experienced, knowledgeable and well seasoned Northwest angler as well as a signature tier and designer for Montana Fly Co. and part of the Whiting Pro Team. Tying flies since 1978, Norm uses only the highest quality materials in a very creative, non-traditional way. His patterns are highly successful and he ties for the waters he personally fishes; South Santiam for Summer Steelhead, Siletz for Summer and Winter Steelhead . Fall fishing usually consists of the Alsea for Fall sea run cutthroat, Lower Rogue for Fall Chinook (largest to date on a fly 46lbs) Elk river and Sixes River and the Nitinat River in BC (some of the best Coho fishing within easy driving distance on the West Coast). Norm’s Steelhead and Salmon flies are deadly…the ultimate “enticers”.

Favorite Stillwater fisheries are numerous;100 Mile House area in BC, Cascade Lakes in Central Oregon and many Eastern Lakes and Reservoirs in Oregon. Norm’s Stillwater patterns are tried and true…if you want to catch trout, he can supply the patterns that consistently do just that.

Several of Norm’s flies, patterns and articles have appeared in various issues of Fly Fishing magazine. He has patterns listed in Trout Flies of the West by Jim Schollmeyer and Ted Leeson. Additional patterns can be found on the FFF, The Henry’s Fork Callibeatis and EP Streamer’s websites.
