Tony Ritter

Tony Ritter has operated a driftboat fishing guide service on the Upper Delaware River and West Branch Delaware for over twenty years. He specializes in wild trout on one of the best tailwater rivers in the United States located in the Catskill / Pocono Regions of New York and Pennsylvania that is only two hours form the NY-NJ metropolitan area. He is licensed by the National Park Service, the NYS DEC and the Pennsylvania FBC.

Tony Ritter has been tying patterns specifically for the Upper Delaware River in the Catskills and its wild trout for over twenty years. The trout on this stream have seen many patterns throughout the years and they can be tough to fool. Tony uses snowshoe rabbit for many of his dries and emergers to entice the wariest of wild rainbows and browns. His flies are durable, have excellent coloration, proportion and silhouette. These patters sit flush in the film to imitate a vulnerable mayfliy just waiting to be eaten. Make sure you have plenty of backing on your reel with these flies and double check your knots!
