Description: This sparse pattern is perfect for shallow flats. It is tied lightly, so it will land softly, but will still sink quickly to get down in front of quick moving flats species. The spey hackle and rubber legs provide movement when the fly is stipped or in the lightest of currents.
What it imitates: Shrimp
When to fish it: Effective for sight fishing to any species found feeding on the flats.
Where to fish it: Best fished in 3 feet of water or less. It lands softly and sinks quickly so it can be presented to fish in even very shallow water.
How to fish it: Allow the fly to reach bottom, then strip it back in short rapid spurts or retrieve in moderate speed 6 to 12 inch pulls.
