Description: Bud Tuggli is a bottom-hugging shrimp imitation that is a staple for any inshore fly box. It's variously known as the Sand Shrimp, the Big Easy, the Big Ugly, and so forth. My variation tips a hat to the Car Talk guys' personal appearance adviser--Bud Tuggli. This is my favorite Flounder fly, but also great for Redfish and Speckled Trout .
What it imitates: Shrimp
When to fish it: Any time shrimp are in the water
Where to fish it: Over sandy or muddy bottoms where shrimp bury themselves during the day.
How to fish it: Bounce this heavy fly on the bottom to kick up puffs of sand or mud, like an emerging shrimp/
