Description: The CBR Thorax Nymph is my version of a beadhead pheasant tail. I use pheasant barbs for the tails and abdomen; my own special dubbing and a thin skin wing case make up the thorax, gold wire creates the ribbed mid-section and along with a gold bead head adds just enough weight to get the fly down. This nymph fools even the most selective trout.
What it imitates: Mayfly nymphs especially Baetis.
When to fish it: Morning and evening during the natural drift of nymphs.
Where to fish it: Freestone rivers, streams and Tailwater
How to fish it: Fish as a top or bottom fly in a two nymph rig or as a dropper under a dry. Dead drift with a rise at the end of the swing.
Approximate time to complete this order: 2 weeks
