Description: Proven deadly on both lakes and ponds where Callibaetis Mayflies are found, The Callibaetis Soft Hackle should be found in every serious angler's fly box when fishing stillwaters. You can bet my box has a nice selection in it when I hit the waters edge. Fished during the hatch this fly has proven deadly when the fish are cruising looking for an easy meal as it represents an emerging mayfly in their most vulnerable stage. When there is no surface activity, this is an excellent searching pattern. I tie the fly on my personal favorite, Tiemco's Competition hook.
Tier's Note: Barbed hooks are offered in sizes #13 and #15. Barbless hooks are offered in #14 and #16.
