Description: I'm offering the original 16 spey patterns from A.E. Knox's "Autumns on The Spey". These flies are some of the oldest spey patterns around and have been used for over a hundred yeas on the River Spey. But, are very successful in Canada and the U.S. They are also excellent for steelhead.
TIER'S NOTE: The versions I'm offering are A.E. Knox's traditional patterns; each one has minor color and throat changes.
When ordering, please indicate:
- If you want the fly tied full or sparse
- Tied in the traditional style - cost will be different for all flies requested to be tied with traditional materials and in the traditional style. I will contact you personally to let you know what the cost will be.
What it imitates: Nothing
When to fish it: Any time
Where to fish it: Any waters with an Atlantic Salmon and steelhead population
How to fish it: Greased line is best as this is what they were designed for, but a sink tip or sinking line will work.
