Description: Don't let the simplicity of the Georgia Crawler fool you.... This is one of my most requested Panfish flies (productive trout fly as well). It's tied in such a way, that when wet, it looks very realistic, therefore, hard to resist. It's been given "two fins" up by many good size and discriminating Panfish.
In some rivers and streams, worms can be a significant food source for fish; especially when water conditions are right. Worms occur in dense populations in many silty stream and lake beds and also occur in the bottoms of fast moving gravel-bed rivers. During times of floods or "rapid water releases" like in tailwaters, the change in flow "disturbs" the river bottom enough to, reveal many worms to awaiting hungry fish.
