Description: The Impossihex is a meaty single hook hex imitation that has the wiggle of a jointed fly. With the movement of the back half of the fly and the soft hackle legs, it is hard for fish to resist this chunky nymph. Designed for steelhead and salmon, this fly is also a great fly for pearch, walleye, and many warmwater species on lakes with a significant emergence.
What it imitates: Hexegenia nymph
When to fish it: Killer during bass pre-spawn and before the Hex emergence on any body of water that holds them
Where to fish it: Generally, fished low in the water column
How to fish it: In moving water fish it at a dead drift, but at the end of the drift, allow the fly to swing out. Many times the strike will come on the swing. In still water, I let it get down and then strip in short bursts to imitate the Hex nymph swimming.
Approximate turnaround time to complete this order: Generally, 7 days
