Description: Isaak's Bloodworm gained its fame by being the hot pattern for large rainbows at Isaaks Ranch now known as Back to The Wall in Washington's Columbia Basin. Tied on scud type hook, the Daiichi 1120 in sizes from 6 to 16 can be used to catch a variety of fish from rainbows to blue gill. I have had good success on size 6 to 8 for large rainbows. This is not just any bloodworm; the red holographic body ribbed with silver tinsel and the white beadhead create a tasty bloodworm imitation and the body is coated with epoxy to give it a shine and keep it tuff.
What it imitates: Bloodworm
When to fish it: Fish the larger size in spring and go to the smaller sizes through out the summer and fall
Where to fish it: Larger size in lakes and tailwaters, smaller size in rivers
How to fish it: Best fished with a floating line under a strike indicator or a larger fly. The beadhead gives it enough weight to stay down
