Description: The King of Queens has gray barred tails with a spiky abdomen. Ice dub thorax and tungsten bead head. There is gold mylar tinsel laid on top of the abdomen with gold wire rib. This nymph shows life with attraction. It sells itself to the trout. From the east coast to Yellowstone and palces in between, this fly is a consistant producer.
What it imitates: Mayfly nymphs
When to fish it: Anytime nymphs are drifting. Check local hatch charts if you are not sure.
Where to fish it: Freestone rivers, streams and tailwaters.
How to fish it: Use the nymph as a dropper or bounce it on the bottom. It may also be dead drifted with a little swing and rise.
