When to fish it: Throughout the season
Where to fish it: Rivers, ponds and lakes where trout feed on baitfish and smelt.
How to fish it:
- Rivers or shallow lakes or ponds - Floating line, a split shot or two will generally get it down to where the fish are
- Deep lakes or ponds - Sink tip or full sink line
Fish it slow around all types of structure and make sure to fish inlets and feeder streams. During spawning season, make sure to work up feeder streams.
