Description: This March Brown soft hackle is my favorite pattern when the big March Browns are on the water. The soft hackle emulates the insects struggle to emerge and reach the top; making it easy pickin's for hungry trout. this not only matches the hatch, but is a great attractor pattern as a larger mayfly. The pearl ribbing gives added "bling".
What it imitates: March Brown
When to fish it: As an attractor or when March Brown's are on the water.
Where to fish it: Since this flies pulls double duty as a natural and attractor pattern, it can be fished just about anywhere there is a March Brown hatch; freestone rivers, tailwaters, lakes, ponds and spring creeks.
How to fish it: Down and across, upstream to a riser, weighted or unweighted with a hand-twist retrieve in stillwaters.
