Description

Description: The Sparkle Dun was originated by Craig Mathews where he borrowed Al Caucci's Comparadun design and added some antron or Z-Lon for both the trailing shuck and wing sections of the fly. The March Brown is a meaty fly that makes its appearance on the Upper Delaware River from mid May through mid June depending on spring weather conditions. Coastal deer hair for the fan wing, pheasant tail for the ribbing, dark hares ear mask for the throax and antron for the shuck and wing. The fly is tied in both #10 and #12. Can be used for the Rhithrogena hatch in the west and Rocky Mountains.
