Description: The OctoCaddis is a direct result of how much I like to fish downstream. Fishing downstream is a great way to get to fish in "impossible" lies and reach them without disturbing their nearby buddies. Inching the retrieve causes erratic motion in the current with the fly going deep and then rising. Boy, when it is rising, hold on tight. Not only are the hits viscous, but , the downstream current puts a major bend in the rod. The very best though is when the fly is near the surface and a bulge comes from behind and chomps down hard ! Can you say, "FISH ON!"
