Description

Description:  The Peacock March Brown is an imitation of the Eastern March Brown (Maccafferium Vicarium) Mayfly.  It's unique in the fact that it is tied using a Cinnamon Peacock Wing Biot, hence the segmentation.  The biot, when tied in and wrapped, gives the fly great segmentation in the abdomen while matching the "tan" color of the actual insect.  The Peacock March Brown, as I tie it, replicates an important hatch on streams in the East and Midwest.

What it imitates:  Eastern March Brown

When to fish it:  In the spring (mid May - mid June), when the adults are hatching.

Where to fish it:  Tailwaters, Freestone Rivers where these insects hatch in great numbers...East and Midwest

How to fish it:  Dead drifted and can even be "twitched".  This pattern imitates a large, clumsy Mayfly which sometimes has a hard time getting airborne.

Approximate turnaround time to complete this order:  2 weeks

MINIMUM ORDER FOR THIS FLY IS 1 UNIT - 1 UNIT CONSISTS 1/2 DOZEN FLIES
