Description: If I could only fish one fly for Redfish in the marsh, the Rabbit Chaser would be it. Descended from Dan Blanton's Whistler through Ron Begnaud's Red Chaser, it's a bulky, flashy, colorful fly that's perfect for the not-so-clear marshes of the upper Gulf Coast. Built on an EC413 jig hook, it incorporates holographic gold mylar in the tail, fluorescent flame rabbit for the collar, and some rubber legs for extra movement. It's finished with premium Hareline Dubbin Pseudo eyes and the head is sealed with Tuffleye. Besides Redfish, it works for anything in the marsh. I've even caught hardhead catfish on it.

When to fish it: Spring and fall when redfish are in the marshes
Where to fish it: Marshes and bay shorelines
How to fish it: Bounce this heavy fly on the bottom to kick up puffs of sand or mud, or strip it like a baitfish.
