The Rapid River is a beautiful small river in northwestern Maine that holds some very nice Landlocked Salmon and beautiful Brook Trout. It has a great mix of pools, pocket water and riffles, and while there is always an opportunity for some very large fish, the fishing can be quite challenging. I've caught some really nice fish during caddis hatches and I really enjoy watching a large landlocked salmon sip in a dry fly and immediately go airborne! This selection of flies is the result of many days of trial and error on the Rapid and on other freestone rivers and streams across the Northeast. The Rapid River Selection includes twelve (12) of my personal favorite flies.
