A personal note from Rick:
My objective with this small booklet and fly set is to share a group of fly patterns and flies I have found effective in a wide range of situations and locations, often producing when many other patterns fail. After forty years of fly fishing, these are the flies I want in my fly box no matter where or when I’m fishing for trout.
The patterns and flies presented include five nymphs, three emergers and four dry flies. A brief description of how I typically fish each pattern is included. By no means are these the only patterns you will need during the season – but they come close. I hope they provide you with as much success and enjoyment as they provide me.
I’m offering the booklet by itself for those of you that want to tie your own or the Booklet with a complete set of tied flies for those who are anxious to "hit the water" and fish!
I’ve personally asked Tracy Peterson, an expert tier, to tie each individual fly set ordered.
