Description: The Sheep Head is part streamer, part jig, with a lot of movement and a lot of flash. This is a great bass streamer to use when you want to get down deep and quickly. The heavy ( non-toxic ) eyes on these streamers cause them to have a jigging action when retrieved in the right manner. I feel that having eyes on any streamer adds a great deal to its ability to get a reaction from the fish. The marabou skirt adds a lot of movement and the flash material that makes up the head reflects light in all directions. The Sheep Head series of bass streamers has all the attributes you look to see and fish love to have in a great warm water pattern. I tie these on a size four hook and in a variety of colors for bass, pickerel etc... I can custom tie these in different colors and sizes or on salt water hooks for striped bass upon request.

What it imitates: A variety of small fish and crayfish
When to fish it: From early spring into late fall, especially good in mid-summer when water temps are high forcing fish to the lower depths
Where to fish it: Any where you find bass and other warm water species. Coastal areas such as estuaries, river mouths and rocky shoreline for striped bass.
How to fish it: Fish with a floating line for depths in the one to five foot range. Use with a fast sinking line to get down much deeper. Cast the Sheep Head toward the shoreline or other promising area and let sink, then draw in some line and stop to let the streamer sink again. This will cause an up and down movement, you can of course vary this action to your liking.
