Description: The Shucked-Up Emerger is a hangdown shuck style mayfly emerger that rides in the surface film. This fly is a great emerger pattern that when fished only floats with the wing and head on the surface, and the entire shuck portion below the surface. A great imitation for fish keying in on the emergent stage of any mayfly.
What it imitates: Various types of Mayfly emergers - Adams, Blue Wing Olive, Dark Hendrickson, Light Hendrickson, Isonychia, Light Cahill, March Brown, Female/Male Trico, Sulphur. Will be tied in the appropriate color.
When to fish it: Anytime a Mayfly emergence is taking place
Where to fish it: Lakes, Freestone Rivers, Tailwaters and small streams
How to fish it: Like any dry fly. After each fish, redress the wing with floatant.
