Item #: TR-Snowshoe-March-Brown-Emerger
Our Price: $3.00
Hook Size:
  (min 6)

Description: This pattern is tied on a scud hook in different sizes and colors to match specific emerging mayflies. I've tied this pattern to imitate a mid season mayfly we get in the northeast - a March Brown. The body is dubbed in tan, ribbed with brown thread. Tail can either be pheasant tail or grouse. The thorax is shaggy hare's ear, snowshoe for the wing breaking out and partridge for the legs. A killer fly prior to the Stenos emergence. Fish this fly either in the riffles or tail outs either solo or tandem.

What it imitates: Emerging March Brown mayfly

When to fish it: Early May through early June in the Catskills / Poconos

Where to fish it: Streams and Rivers

How to fish it: Single or tandem. Can be fished as a dropper

Minimum order is 6 flies for this pattern

Order Completion Time is approximately 14 days
