Description: I was thinking indicator, when the Svelte Calli was concocted. Even though it's a slim profile fly, it comes alive underwater. The AZ crystal rabbit catches the light, but the two different ribs make the difference between this Calli and other imitations on the market. Clear micro tubing adds segmentation and Krystal Flash adds a life effect without too much flash.
What it imitates: Callibaetis nymph, damsel nymph
When to fish it: Late spring into the early fall
Where to fish it: Stillwaters
How to fish it: Svelte Calli excels when fished below an indicator, but is also a great pattern to pull on an intermediate line in shallow water. Around the end of June, this pattern not only does a wonderful job of imitating callibaetis, but doubles as a very effective damsel imitation.
