Description: The UV Metal Midge pattern utilizes a tungsten bead to help it sink quickly to the bottom where most fish will intercept the ascending pupa. The use of silver tinsel under the ribbing creates the look of the air bubble many of these insects use to help them rise slowly toward the surface. The small section of polypropylene yarn, at the end of the fly, imitates the gills and it has been treated with a UV ink to make it more visible to the fish. Since trout can see colors in the UV spectrum, this will make the fly stand and bring more fish to your net!

When to fish it: Any time of year as they are a major food source for trout.

How to fish it: Best fished under an indicator just off the bottom.
